A Korean Ocean’s Eleven in the works

A Korean Ocean’s Eleven? Starring Lee Jung-jae? SIGN ME UP.

Choi Dong-hoon, the director of the hit fusion action comedy Jeon Woo Chi, is back with a new movie titled Thieves, and Lee Jung-jae is currently in final talks to star.

The film unfolds as a gang of thieves joins forces with the master thief who’d betrayed them in the past as they attempt a diamond heist out of a Singapore casino. The head thief’s old flame, along with Korean and Chinese police pursuers, complicate matters along the way.

While no contracts have been signed for other stars, there’s a good chance we’ll see a number of actors who have previously worked with director Choi, such as Kim Yoon-seok (Jeon Woo Chi, The Chaser), who is currently a possibility to star. Also reportedly in contention is Jeon Ji-hyun (Blood: The Last Vampire), although frankly it seems there are always about ten random rumors about her supposed next project to every real one.

Thieves is currently busy casting, and plans to begin filming in May.

Now, do I think this movie is original or even creative? Not one bit — it’s not just inspired by Ocean’s Eleven, it sounds exactly like it. But do I think it’s going to be awesome fun? Oh, hell yeah. I can’t wait to see the ten hotties selected to join Mr. Lee Jung-jae (which, sure, may not end up being strictly eleven but should at least offer up plentiful excuses for eye candy). Woot woot.

Gu Hye-sun directs festival trailer

Actress and budding director Gu Hye-sun is back behind the camera as she takes on the directing of the official trailer for the International Women’s Film Festival in Seoul. She’s done a trailer of this kind before, for 2009′s 7th Asiana International Short Film Festival, so she’s got some experience, even if the trailers are super-short (approximately 1 minute in length).

As you probably are aware, Gu has spent the better part of the past two years focusing on her interests outside of acting, such as songwriting, drawing, writing, and directing. She does have an acting project in the works (the drama The Musical), but for whatever reason, it has yet to secure a broadcaster or a timeslot and has been languishing for a while. One wonders when it’ll finally see the light of day — will it be like Birdie Buddy and fade into nothing, or Paradise Ranch and hit airwaves eventually?

It appears that she’s more interested in directing than performing at the moment, and she has been writing her next feature length film, a vampire romance that she intends to direct. Truth be told, I prefer her as an actress, and it’s the area where I think she’s strongest (though, funny enough, her biggest project — Boys Before Flowers — is pretty much her worst acting performance), though I’m sure it’s her prerogative to spend her time developing other interests.

This year’s festival (the 13th) takes on the theme of women in action, which’ll serve as the main motif of Gu’s trailer, and takes place on April 7 through 14.

Tae-Yeon & Kim Bum-Soo prove that they are “Different”

The day that you were waiting for is finally here. SNSD's leader Tae-Yeon & famous singer Kim Bum-Soo release a duet together. The song is called "Different".

Both of them showed off their vocal skills with this amazing song. It is really incredible how both vocals were really strong and gave that beautiful feeling.

Leeteuk & Krystal say “Grumbling” at Enjoy Today show

Super Junior's leader Leeteuk and F(x)'s member Krystal made a duet song called "Grumbling" and preformed it at Enjoy Today Korean show.

This ballad project is really successful. Everyone loved how Leeteuk showed his soft and warm side, and same goes to Krystal.

This ballad song is really cute. It has that relaxing tone to it that makes you smile.

IU’s “Someday” is similar to Ash’s “I’m your woman/you’re my boyfriend”

Earlier today people noticed that IU's song "Someday" the song for “Dream High” OST is similar to Ash's song "I'm your woman/you're my boyfriend".

It is getting accused as plagiarizing. The Youtube video below will compare both songs.

Do you guys think that it was on purpose or not?

Recently there has been a really long pole in a couple of kpop websites saying who is an Ulzzang? After a month of voting, the results are here.

By the way: Uljjiang means Good looking/awesome looking. Literally "Ulgul" means face + "Jjang" means hot/awesome = Uljjang or you can say Ulzzang.

There is also Moumjjang which means Good body because "moum" means body. Do you get it? ;)
